Tiaras are a bit too “blingy” for your wedding? How about a more boho approach? Floral crowns are the perfect mix of nature and elegance. Some brides don’t feel comfortable wearing a veil as they feel it suffocates them, so a simple headpiece still gives the bride a glamorous feel. Most florists will now make these floral crowns to order and, depending on which season your ceremony falls in to, you could have beautiful roses, lilies or smaller sunflower buds placed on top over your neat up-do or mermaid curls. Floral crowns allow an air of creativity and customisability to your day – don’t like that flower there? Move it! It’s that simple. Why not have a few of your wedding party round for a few drinks, a quick catch up and all make floral crowns together? Imagine the look on a little flower girl’s face when you can give her her very own, bespoke, circlet of bright and striking flowers. Check out my favorite styles below...

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! We've been across the border and into Wales for a catch up with family and friends.... although its been gloomy and wet (what can you expect from Wales in October?!), our stay so far has been full of laughter and trips to the coast.
I love a good old mason jar. Ben will tell you. I collect all our jam jars and coffee pots, give them a once over, and store them away for a later date. Mason jars are your best friend. Try to keep an assortment of glass jars in different shapes and sizes, I promise one day they will get great use! This week, its all about sourcing rustic fresh flowers & hanging from the end of your isles in mason jars. Love the idea outlined in the picture above, of using shepherds hooks to hang them from (wowza). Get creative. Use your initiative and think of new ways to recreate this look. How about lighting a tea light - perfect for evening ceremonies. What will you use your mason jars for? Get in touch - maverickbrides@gmail.com we love to hear from you guys! xxx We have just stumbled across this awesome new company called 'Tea with Tom'. What did we love the most? Their travelling tea parties!! Its not a secret that I have a sweet tooth, so when I found these guys on Facebook, I just had to rave about them!
Whether its for a birthday occasion, for your wedding in the woods, or for a product launch.. these guys will travel to you and host a vintage afternoon tea party... using only the best beautiful vintage china! But these aren't your normal tea parties... oh no! These fabulous ladies also provide a pamper package (which, ladies.. would be an epic hen party!!!) adding, as they quote, 'a generous spritz of Hollywood siren glamour to your Tea party'. Your transformation into vintage vixens will complete the ambiance of your event...and even doll you up for your late night cocktails! We've been swept away by the travelling tea parties alone... check out the rest of their services, including prop and china hire on their website... what you waiting for?! Elle x |
